GOD uses Social Media for Hurricane Response!

With the death toll rising after Hurricane IAN landfall, assessments are now coming in from the hardest hit areas. What are Christians to do? PRAY-CARE-SHARE Christ with those in crisis both on site and with families and friends still waiting to hear if their loved ones are safe. It is a time to respond spiritually, emotionally,  mentally and physically to those around us even if they are NOT directly affected. Why? Because this is another wake up call from our Lord, to be READY to respond and give an answer for the Hope He has given  us! I Peter 3:15

U.S. President Biden: "We're beginning to see the scale of the devastation in Florida which is likely to rank among the worst in the nation’s history," President Biden tweeted Saturday morning from the @POTUS account.

CEN Founder and President, Mary Marr says: “Right now while social media is distributing information, many do not know how to handle this information in a truly helpful manner. It is important for churches, city networks to use a compatible communication infrastructure with national, state and local first responders who are inundated with information that may be helpful but they cannot use. Right now, if you are a church, ministry or city network wanting to help, start with yourself! Identify one person who will manage the incident from your perspective; identify one person who communicates internally/externally important information to your group that is timely actionable and trustworthy i.e. give to this org not one who rejects the Gospel; identify one person who will monitor the security situation as it unfolds both for you personally as well as the threat landscape which may change rapidly spurred on by this natural disaster. It is time for you to get your own house in order as a ReadyChristian, ReadyChurch and ReadyCity with capacity assessments and a team before you walk out the door!!”

CEN RESPONSE TEAM is on the ground in FLA. They are assessing the damage. Getting their staging areas set up with churches and housing for volunteers and setting up all their communications in a highly challenging environment. CONTACT US to help with the ReadyFLA response efforts now being launched in the hardest and most underserved areas in FLA and beyond!

CEN ReadyFLA Public Information Officer David Craig says: “Traffic is challenging, communications are challenging, power is challenging, and it is widespread from S. Tampa to Naples, but I see 1000’s of first responders everywhere and The Church is coming out assessing their own damage to see where they may be able to respond. Even though the I 75 Interstate has been closed it is encouraging to see The Church respond."

Let us ALL Call upon the God who gives us the Light of Christ to Shine in this dark age:

“The god of this age has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, so they cannot see the LIght of the Gospel of the Glory of Christ, who is the image of God. For God, who said ‘Let Light Shine out of darkness’ made His Light shine in our hearts to give us the Light of the knowledge of the Glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” II Corinthians 4:4,6

PRAY:

  • Christians will take this as another wake up call to become a ReadyChristian for emergencies both large and small.

  • Churches to assess their own damage if in affected areas and report their needs and for churches outside the site to assess their capacity to respond. ReadyChurch capacity assessment.

  • City leaders will take the lead call for prayer gatherings across this nation petitioning a return back to God, repentance in the face of this and other disasters such as the increase in crime and the persecution of fellow believers across the globe. Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem!

  • ReadyFL Response Team staging area, safe deployment of volunteers, the assessments to go quickly and the resources to not be impeded from entry.

CARE:

  • Safety of our first responders as well as their personal balance needs, including high levels of stress viewing the devastation that many have never experienced on this leve before.

  • I 75 would not be compromised for response teams to have access to the hardest hit areas.

  • Those who still need to make communications with their loved ones. Reach out to help them and pray for a miraculous answer to their need to know they are safe!
