Lisa Crump is the National Prayer Officer for the Christian Emergency Network. In her CEN National Prayer Officer role she assists prayer leaders across the U.S. and worldwide, to bring God’s word and His truth to bear on emergencies of all kinds. Lisa began fervently interceding for the CEN ministry twenty years ago when it was founded because she saw the urgent need to equip Christians to be ready for ‘such a time as this’. With her executive leadership experience in recruiting and mobilizing a vast network of volunteers at Focus on the Family and the National Day of Prayer ministries spanning two decades, Lisa brings seasoned and mature prayer leadership to the CEN.
During Lisa’s nine years at Focus on the Family in Colorado Springs, Colorado, she engaged and equipped prayer leadership in national conferences such as Life on the Edge, Love Won Out, and the 25th Anniversary of Focus on the Family.
In addition, Lisa served on the executive staff of the National Day of Prayer Task Force for seventeen years. With her executive experience in the areas of operations, volunteer mobilization management, and as the liaison for NDP National Prayer Ministries, Lisa helps guide and direct CEN prayer leaders to build their own church and citywide prayer teams. She assists them in building strong, crisis prayer communications while learning the basic, biblical principles of crisis response in the CEN Prayer Classroom. Lisa’s leadership style seamlessly inspires acts of kindness as she leads others to experience personal, “transformational” prayer.
Lisa’s experience in founding the monthly call, Pray for America, while on the staff at National Day of Prayer equips her to offer wise guidance on how to pray in times of crisis and lead church, ministry and citywide prayer teams during these increasingly uncertain times. She has a passion to encourage prayer leaders to be AWARE, READY and THERE themselves, sharing Christ in emergencies large and small. Whether it is praying with dignitaries at a large gathering in our nation’s capital or interceding with leaders from all walks of life on their doorstep, Lisa models humble servant leadership, even after speaking and traveling on behalf of the Kingdom of God in all 50 U.S. states! She will frequently tell you, “Volunteers are my teachers, functioning from their call of God and zeal for Him.”
