An Oklahoma Mom conducts active shooter drills with her five year old son before he goes back to school. She says: “I wish that it wasn’t necessary.” Read the full story.

Do you ever think about how to prepare your kids to face the new school environment? Preparing your kids for school is more than books and binders. It used to be a joyous time. Now, as parents we must help them with more than just passing their spelling quiz.

Today, we have so many mixed thoughts and emotions about school subjects, school agendas, and school safety. It’s a worthy endeavor to stay involved in your local school system and watch for the agendas and subjects being taught. But what about school safety?  There are so many things we hear that are both alarming and concerning every day. The truth is, at the end of the day, it’s our job to train our children to be vigilant and stay alert to the various challenges they face in today’s uncertain world.

CEN wants to help you train your kids whether they are in your home, at school or in your church. Our partner, CPPS created a timely effective video called Beyond Lockdown. You can purchase just the video. But, if you  have a larger group to prepare, you can purchase the Beyond Lockdown kit to help guide you through the training. The kit comes complete with a knowledge check quiz, outline for instruction, and advanced training for the instructor. Here is a sample of what the video has to offer:

Take action for those you care about and get them the training they need BEFORE they go back to school!

“I guide you in the way of wisdom and lead you along straight paths. When you walk, your steps will not be hampered, when you run you will not stumble.” Proverbs 4:11-12

  1. This is an excellent recommendation and one that no student, regardless of age, should be without. These are excellent materials. Knowing what to look for is a huge key to living our lives full and free of fear!
