Amidst the rise of church burglaries, vandalism and bomb threats the nation’s largest Protestant denomination is being investigated for widespread sex abuses by the Justice Department and the media is now depicting the cross as an extremist symbol. 400 Ukrainian Baptist Churches were lost in Russian invasion as 41 Christians are dead in a Coptic Church attack this week. Let’s Be AWARE in prayer, READY and THERE with the Hope of Christ!

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10
Lord our God Almighty, we treasure Your word in my hearts this week as we remember Who You are. All things are known by You, nothing is beyond Your reach. What comfort we take in realizing You are manifest, living and working in the midst of all that You have made. Thank you for telling us in Your word over 360 times ‘not to fear’. Father, help us truly walk in the trust that You are always with us, strengthening, helping, upholding us for expected and unexpected times we are living in. We are supported by Your righteous, mighty hand. Soli Deo Gloria (Glory to God Alone) in Jesus we come. Amen

We should always be vigilant as to what labels we involuntarily are being assigned to. Media saying a simple cross is an extremist symbol is now putting a bit of a target on anyone displaying the symbol, whether Christian of not. Be aware is the first part of being vigilant! Knowing what to look for enables us to live freely and not succumb to fear.
