Almighty God, we praise Your glorious Name this new day that You have made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it regardless of circumstances. You are still our God, unchanged and infinite in power and love. We declare this day to stand with Peter and early church brethren to obey You first, foremost and always above mankind. You are the Creator, not the created as we are. We will answer one day to You alone, not with any other human (no pastor, spouse, friend…), but with Jesus to give an account of our lives. Lead us to be found faithful. Obedience is better than sacrifice; let this be the testimony of our lives, surrendered, submitted wholly to You. Jesus our LORD in You we ask, AMEN.
