In the aftermath of the mass shooting at the Covenant Christian school in Nashville, Tennessee this week, we now can confirm three 9-year-olds and three school workers are dead and this has renewed the debate about why shooters target schools. Many are suffering emotionally, mentally and spiritually, and now physically as a result of this tragic shooting. This intense grief is sadly all too common in our broken world and causes great distress not only for the surviving families, the local community and the nation as a whole! We need to pray as never before, with a pure agenda, a loving caring agenda, as we intercede on a new level for 'such a time as this'. Scripture says:
Oh how it grieves our Father God “I called on the Lord in distress; The Lord answered me and set me in a broad place.
The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”
Psalm 118:5-6
We fight not against flesh and blood but against the powers of darkness. We are in a fierce battle, brothers and sisters. Let us battle with HIS Love, Mercy and Grace, as we pray faithfully!
LET’S PRAY!
Father, we receive and put on the full armor of God as we begin to pray.
That we all might be protected as we stand in the gap and pray for our nation and our precious children! We pray for all those who put their lives on the line every day to protect and defend us. We pray for those who are being sent out on their Strategic Assignment’s; across our CEN READYChristian, READYChurch, READYCity and READYSchool Network. Lord, cover them as they are sent out and lead fearlessly, on the front lines of this battle. Help them to accomplish what you Lord Jesus have instructed. We can’t be certain of what tomorrow will bring, but we can be certain of GOD’S LOVE.
Thank you Jesus! Amen.
