Praying for Hope and Healing: Supporting Those on the Frontlines in Syria and Turkey

CEN Prayer National/Global Events

Christian charities are on the frontlines in Syria and Turkey helping those impacted by the devastating magnitude 7.8 earthquake that has left more than 35,000 dead and tens of thousands injured.

No force on earth is more powerful or effective than the power of prayer:
CALL TO ME, AND I WILL ANSWER YOU, (says the Lord) AND SHOW YOU GREAT
AND MIGHHTY THINGS, WHICH YOU DO NOT KNOW!
Jeremiah 33:3

LET’S BEND OUR KNEE HUMBLY IN PRAYER: 

Father God, we take your
word in Jeremiah 33:3 and pray, with humble cleansed hearts, that there is
no force, power or situation that we cannot come running to you in the
name of Jesus, that you will not bend your face down, hear and move on
our prayers, and show us your great and mighty way, mending hearts,
bodies and grief in more ways than we can imagine. The pain and the loss
is too great for us to conceive or even imagine. Lord Jesus help us to
remember our brothers and sisters as our hearts are ready to pray in
season, knowing the times and seasons we have found ourselves in all
around the world.

Matthew 6: 9-10: Our Father who art in heaven HOLY is your name, 
Thy Kingdom come Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

    We are very grateful to the rescue workers that are out aiding, searching, and rescuing people in the midst of a cataclysmic disaster! We are also grateful for the heroes back home which which are their families and colleagues that are carrying their burden back home. We pray for protection of the rescuers abroad and also their homes, families, and and job positions back home. I traveled extensively for 8 years (42+ weeks a year) and i know of the challenges of the families. As we as Christians looks forward to one day going "home", those on the road working tirelessly day and night to achieve the mission look forward to coming home to a safe haven of rest and reassurance. Praise God for these strong families!

    God has allowed us to be here at this time in history to fulfill HIS special purpose for this generation. We ask you Father God to show us your purposes and give to us everything we need to accomplish them! Psalm 57:2 I cry out to God most High, to God who will fulfill His purpose in me. (us)
